First Impression: Dynasty Warriors 6: Empires

Played abit of it, still think Dynasty Warriors is a crap game.
'repetative, bad gameplay design, stupid AI, buggy'

My brothers are quite addicted to it though.

First Impression: Prototype

Now that holiday has pretty much started I'm overwhelmed with... nothing to do.. at least for the past two days. So today I got Prototype on PS3 but have yet to play it cause my little brother called dibs first.

My first impression is, being a sandbox game, its very linear, there really isn't much to do besides the main missions. There are those time-trials and highscore crap that only perfectionist would care about. In GTA, cars are for driving, in this game, they're just things to break while walking through them. Story is alright but my main problem is the main character who gets one cool point for having awesome abilities, besides that his not really anymore likeable.

I don't think I'll be actually reviewing games as a blogging thing but meh, we'll see.

Thank God For Namco

Two things to yack about today.

Channel Seven is showing 'Thank God You're Here' tonight. When I first heard this I thought it was an April Fools joke (which is when I found out). Channel Ten is my fav channel so I was abit disappointed to hear it..

On some good news 'is it really?', Tekken 6 and Soul Calibur 4 is being ported to the PSP.
This isn't like porting an very old game but pretty fresh ones.. Like FROM SOFTWARE announced that they're porting Armored Core 3 to the PSP which was a 2003 PS2 game.

My Take: Shadow Of The Colossus - The Movie

Shadow Of The Colossus has been announced to be made as a featured film by SONY PICTURES, produced Kevin Misher and screenplay written by Justin Marks.

Colossus is one of my favourite titles in the pile of 40+ PS2 games I have. Although it really only has 16 colossi bosses to fight, each had very unique gameplay methods and the way to get to each of them was quite the journey itself with stunning scenery. Travelling from beach, to vast grasslands, to deep and dark ruins and caves, to deserts and if you stopped every now and then you'd find intersting details nearly everywhere. The Colossus are the main feature and my favourite Colossi was the Flying Serpent in the desert.

There is really no way for me to review this game, you must experience it yourself to really know how amazing it is.

Now that the fact Hollywood is making the movie makes me feel "OMG, not another game -> movie adaption". Colossus, like the Metal Gear Solid series, has a very cinematic feel already and should be left alone but it would be very interesting see how they'd take with it. Problem may be that Justin Marks is screenwritting it, who wrote the screenplay for the recent Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li. Although, do we blame SF's epic F 'cause of the scriptwriter or the director? This is just early news so things may change, or event get canceled *cough wink*

Long story short, I dislike the idea, but would be interesting to see how it turns out.
Also, too early to make any assumptions

Be Nice Please ^_^

News has it that a student at Massachusetts' Academy of Notre Dame high school, whose part Animal Rights Club, has complained about the game 'Call of Duty: World at War' for having the players shooting dogs. She says that this may encourage people to think doing such acts are fine but seriously, would we? Many gamers think this is silly, just like the Resident Evil 5's rasict issue.

She has petitioned about 100 of her classmates and has also cought the attention from PETA.

She says "My little 12-pound Pomeranian, Winnie the Pooh, is sitting next to him, and I'm thinking, 'This looks horrible!' My brother is a sweetheart. He won't be killing dogs after playing. But some people might."

Games:ミュートマイクUSB

"Don't want people to hear your terrible karaoke singing or don't want to be a bother to people in the next room? Then buy the "Mute Mic USB" for the Wii"

I don't think this is a NINTENDO trademark item but with all their "unique" peripherals over the years why not.

So I guess this is the type of game where you play alone, with a cup in your mouth.
Does that look normal to you?
You can remove the cup and use it as a normal USB Mic but then I'd suggest get a normal USB Mic.

I give it 1 cup out of 5 for its sucess
